The race has been standardised and is now managed and run by the World Triathlon Corporation with prize money being offered to the Pros and for the amateurs (age grouper as they call it) the chance to compete in the Ironman World ..... I could just stop now and go to my hotel room. Being the Dumb ass that I am, I soldiered on. The race course was littered with people walking, lying by the road side with ambulance screaming up and down. A lot of unhappy people. ...
